Queering the Binary Foundation: Queering The Binary Foundation collects donations of clothing, accessories, and beauty products for individuals from ages 8-80+. They host donation boxes and pop-up closets throughout Illinois for transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming individuals to shop for free. They host private parties, craft & community nights, webinars about gender & sexuality, provide end of life services, make deliveries, and help businesses or organizations host their own trans closets. Service and Learning Together (SaLT): Shop N’ Drop’s mission is to meaningfully engage community members to support local families challenged by food insecurity. Shop N’ Drop develops ongoing relationships with all supported families in order to best understand their present and future needs, as well as provide messages of hope and encouragement. Shop N’ Drop provides groceries and personal items on a biweekly basis to approximately 425 people in 100+ families who are food insecure. West End Garden: ​​The West End Garden was initiated in Spring 2021 by Evanston Fight for Black Lives (EFBL), and is cultivated by community volunteers from the Hovland Court block along with EFBL.  This community garden grows for the neighbors, and also shares via the local free fridges and the C&W Foundation’s Saturday morning food drive. Wonderland Community Project: Wonderland is an ecological restoration and land stewardship project in McHenry County. It is a place for creating reciprocal relationships while working on restoring ecosystems that were lost to land development and/or neglected.
